The History of Prospect

It became a way-station for many people travelling to Louisville, especially after the construction of the prosperous Westport Railway. In an effort to prevent Prospect from being overly-industrialized in the 1960s, the Hunting Creek and Fox Harbor subdivisions were built to provide desirable residences and preserve greenspace. In recent years, the affluent community of Norton Commons was constructed on the outskirts of Prospect.
